CATSKILL RESIDENT USING RECYCLED CANS TO LOWER HEATING COST

When Bill Hobbs installed a Cansolair Solar Air Furnace on his Catskill N.Y. Home in September 2008, the average cost of a gallon of heating oil was over four dollars a gallon.  As the price of heating oil continues to climb, and is currently $3.49 per gallon, Bill saw his 2,000 dollar investment in the unit already pay for itself.

Bill Hobbs had a savings of 427 gallons his first heating season with the Cansolair unit and 422 gallons this past season.  These savings represent a 1/3 of his average heating oil consumption.

As oil prices continue to climb, home and business owners looking for simple inexpensive ways to reduce energy costs are using solar air heating as an option that requires no fuel, labor or maintenance.

The Cansolair Solar Heater is a solar air furnace made from recycled aluminum cans that installs with little changes to the existing home or building.

I  installed a Cansolair Solar Max in the large garage bay of my business, where I letter vehicles, trucks, trailers and produce large signs.  Since having the Solar max in operation, I have not had to use supplemental heat  to keep the room warm while I work.  I can tell by the performance so far,  I will save a lot of money, and will not worry very time I open and close the garage door.  I was very happy with Upstate Solar and the Cansolair Solar Max Air Furnace

I have been using the Cansolair Solar Max on my barn/shop and can say that I am more than happy with the heater.  Some days I have had to turn it down to keep the building comfortable.  I do not expect to pay a lot of money for heat this season.
